Membership Information

New and existing members, you are invited to renew your membership/ join the Association. In 2020-2021, the executive has determined a strategic plan that boosts benefits to members and clients alike.

Benefits to members:

- Offering/organising education and training opportunities: every other month's meeting focusses on professional development!
- Creating a discount card so that clients can access goods and services at reduced costs
-Gaining access to academic journals
- Organising social events
- Collaborating with insurance agencies to increase OT coverage for clients 
- Providing group health and life insurance for members and their families
- Providing support for new clinics 
- Meeting with Ministers to transform policy
- Access to WFOT member benefits, including resources provided by The WFOT

Joining/ Renewal Procedures:

1. Complete the form:

A membership form will be sent out via e-mail. There are separate forms for new/existing members. Please make sure that you complete the form most applicable to you. If you have reason to believe that you are not on TTOTA's mailing list, please send an e-mail to [email protected] requesting future correspondence. Please note that while general e-mails are sent to all therapists and students in Trinidad and Tobago, others are contingent upon membership.

2. Pay fees:

 Interested therapists and students  are invited to submit fees either in cash to any executive member, or directly to TTOTA's account by March 1st each year to:

Please be reminded that the fee types are as follows:
Full Member: $500
Associate Member: $250
Student Member: $100

If paying directly, be sure to e-mail [email protected] with proof of payment.

* New graduates: New graduates who are not yet registered OTs are welcomed to join as Associate Members. Once registration is complete, you will enjoy full membership benefits, with the excess fees of full membership waived for the remainder of the year. 

3. Get your receipt: 

Those who have submitted fees, but who have not received your receipt, please email/message [email protected] and [email protected] with your full name, as you want it written on the receipt.
